Climate

The Netherlands has a Maritime Climate. Maritime climate is also known as oceanic climate which is, "a measure of the degree to which the climate of a region is influenced by a maritime airflow from the oceans." The Netherlands generally experience cool summers and mild winters. Climates such as The Netherlands’ have a much smaller annual temperature range due to water having a much higher heat measurement than land. In addition, the water takes a long time to warm up in the summer, but once heated  the water remains warm to keep the surrounding land cool, helping keep the climate moderate. 



The coolest month in Amsterdam is February, averaging 2.5° C.  The warmest month of the year is July andAugust, averaging 17.1° C.  Similarly, in Lille, France the coolest month is February consisting of 2.8° C.  The warmest month in Lille is August with a temperature of 17.9° C.  Across the world, in Denver, Colorado the coolest month is January averaging 2° C.  The warmest month in Denver is July at a high average of 23° C (88° F).  



 First, in Amsterdam the average annual lowest precipitation is 39.3mm  in April, and the highest is 103.7mm in October.  Next, in Denver, Colorado the average annual lowest precipitation is 12mm in February, and the highest is 58mm in May.  Finally, in Lille, France the average annual lowest precipitation is 41.8mm in February, while the highest is 63.7mm in October.
